August Book(s) - Reading Challenge 2019
This month I only read books that I borrowed from Marta (thanks, Marta!)
The first was Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I've actually wanted to read it for a really long time because of it's cute cover! So I was kind of disappointed. I found the book to be quite boring for the most part. It got better near the end (though I didn't really care for the actual ending). It just fell flat for me, which is a shame because I had really high expectations.
Then I read PS: I Still Love You by Jenny Han, the sequel to To All the Boys I've Loved Before. Just like the first volume, it was cute. I don't really have the patience for love triangles so I was pretty frustrated when John Ambrose McClaren came up, but I actually quite liked him. It was nice.

Afterwards I decided to give Rainbow Rowell another shot and I read Eleanor & Park. I'm so glad I did. It was actually really good! So cute. I've read it a while back so I'm not exactly sure why but I remember feeling like their dislike to like relationship was kind of rushed, especially from one of them (I can't remember exactly but I think it was Park. I felf like suddenly he liked her and I was surprised, like, when did this happen? While her feelings changed more gradually, his weren't as well explored. But as I said, I don't exactly remember)
Then I read The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, and oh my god. I loved it. I really did. I loved the setting, the writing style, the characters (I loved Maven... oh well, what can you expect from men...). I don't know, the whole politics and the revolution were really exciting to me and I fell in love with it. I guess I'm a sucker for women that can produce electricity.
The last book I read was Landline by Rainbow Rowell. My friend told me it was her best book and I agree. It's really cute. I love how she describes the little details that the characters love about one another. It might be cheesy but I think it's realistic. When we like someone we do really start noticing those small cute things that no one pays attention to, and it's nice seeing that being described.
