March Book(s) - 2019 Reading Challenge

On March, but I still managed to read 3 books.

The first book was "O encantador de sonhos" or, as I translated it last time, "The dream whisperer". As I mentioned before, it was written by a friend of my mom's, and it was really interesting to get a whole new perspective on someone I already knew.
The book had an interesting concept, although it was a little frustrating at times since the story seemed sort of forced. I'm not really a spiritual person and I guess I was annoyed at all of the life lessons about my soul and the idea of a soulmate. But it was still inspiring to see someone I know publishing a book. Maybe one day I'll be able to make that dream come true for me too.

The second book I decided to read was "Forest of Pygmies" by Isabel Allende. My mom loves Isabel Allende and she has been telling me to read her books ever since I learned how to read. Well, I finally did it, and I'm so glad I did. This is the third book from the Memories of the Eagle and the Jaguar series (I only realized that it was a sequel about halfway through it...) and it is so wonderfully written. I was truly amazed of how magically the words flowed. I definitely want to read more of her books in the near future.

The last book I read this month was Laced with Magic. Another series in which I didn't read the first book. Oh, well.
I borrowed this book from Ana (Thanks Ana!) and it was definitely entertaining. It was easy to read and I had fun, but I didn't exactly get hooked. That's alright though - it's still a good book. I'm not necessarily interested in reading the rest of this series for now (maybe I would be, if I had started by the first book!) but I still enjoyed it.
