January Book - Reading Challenge 2019
As I've said in a previous post, I'm challenging myself to read more this year, so my goal is to read at least one book per month.
January was a crazy month for me, since it was right at the end of my exam season. I survived, and this semester went surprisingly well. I decided to start this challenge when my vacation started, in the 28th of January, so I didn't have a lot of time to read until the end of the month! For that reason, the book I chose for January was a tiny one.
It's called "Portugal e o Espaço", which means Portugal and Space. It talks about the space exploration and investigation in my beautiful, tiny country.
I'm so glad I decided to start this challenge when I started it, because otherwise I probably would have never read that book, and it was so interesting. I haven't talked about that a lot in my social media, but I'm currently taking my Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering (hence why I had that book in the first place!) Space is something that really fascinates me, but in the stressful college environment, I found myself losing interest, and forgetting why I chose this course to begin with. This book, which I only chose because it was the smallest book that I had at home, reminded me of my love for science, and gave me a lot of hope for my future career...
I'm only on my second month and I'm already so inspired by this challenge! I hope I can stick to it even in the busiest months of 2019!
What are you currently reading? Did you manage to finish a book in January? Is there any book that you think I should read this year? I would love to know your recommendations!
