Vegan in Sevilla - other Veg-friendly Restaurants

I wrote a few posts on vegan restaurants in Sevilla, but there are quite a few restaurants that, although aren't vegan, have quite a lot of options. Here I'll share a few of the places I've eaten at!

Arte y Sabor
This was the first restaurant I visited once I arrived to Sevilla. It is right in Alameda de Hércules and has quite a few vegan options clearly stated. The food is delicious, so I highly recommend you try it, but only if you arrive early and are not in a hurry: this place is busy and your orders may take a while. Also, make sure to check if your dish is what you asked for before you start eating - I've had orders mixed up before.

The restaurant serves tapas, aka, smaller portions of food rather than the usual sized dishes, so you can order a lot of different things to try! The first thing we asked for was a mushroom salad, which I wasn't too excited about, but I should, because Sevillanos know how to season their salads! I don't know what they put in them but they are so good!

Then, we asked for a Tempura, and it was delicious! Always check if it's the vegetable tempura though! Once, after I had eaten a few veggies already, my mom caught a shrimp mixed with the vegetable tempura. They had mixed our order with someone else's shrimp tempura! From then onwards I was much more careful with the food that was put in our table. That's the disadvantage of non vegan restaurants - if they mix your order, it's way more unpleasant.

Then we asked for this potato cold salad. Not gonna lie, I wasn't a fan.

Then as the "main dishes" we asked for the seitan fillet, which was pretty good. I just wish the potatoes were more soft, but I would definitely have this again.

Finally, my favourite: Their soy burger. I's really, really good, and it comes with a white sauce (it's vegan, I checked!) which was delicious!

One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that they have a vegan dessert, which is pretty rare for non vegan places! It's rice with coconut milk, and it's pretty tasty.

Ciudad Dong Hai

I love chinese restaurants, and this is my go-to in Sevilla! There are always vegetarian options that are really easy to veganize (if they aren't vegan already!)  and the food is always delicious. In this particular restaurant the lighting is pretty bad for photos (my lack of skill doesn't help!) so the pictures are not the best, but I assure you everything tastes amazing!

Whenever I go to a chinese restaurant, I always ask for vegetable Chao Min - making sure to ask them to not put egg on it, since many restaurants do. It's my boyfriend's favorite, and I love it too.

These were fried aubergines with a tasty sauce, and just remembering them I'm salivating.
This restaurant also has two tofu dishes, called "Tofu a la Plancha"

And "Tofu with Chinese Sauce":

They are both delicious and taste pretty similar, but the first comes to table literally boiling hot, which you can see in the picture, and it's a bit more spicy, while the second tastes milder and sweeter. I personally prefer the milder since I'm quite sensitive to spicy foods, but still, they're both amazing.

Vantana (meanwhile it closed!)

I only went there once in the beginning of my stay, but their vegan options are pretty good.

This is their hummus with sweet potato chips.

Their asian style noodles.

And my favourite: their vegan croquettas.

Metaforas

This is a really cute space I found on my way home from school. It had a board that said there were vegan options so I was really curious to try. They call themselves a "cultural caffe", and they had decorative colored lights, which are really cute but don't make it easier to take appetizing pictures.

This is a very bad picture of their guacamole, which came with nachos.  Ask for no cheese!

My boyfriend had their veggie burger and  I had their veggie hot dog - again, ask for no cheese. It was alright, but since VeganEat is really close, I only went to Metaforas once.

Urban Food Market
The urban food market is a shared space between a few restaurants. I noticed it had two vegan options on "la Choripaneria"'s menu, so I decided to try them. The one on the left is their tofu slider and on the right is their chickpea sausage with soy tzatziki.  Both of them are really good and I went there a couple of times.
In this space there is also No Taco (I didn't see any vegan option on their menu, but maybe they have some that can be veganized) and Wok Town, which had a couple of tasty sounding items that were probably vegan.
Do bring cash though since they don't accept card!
