Vegan in Sevilla - Veganitessen

I already showed a few pictures of this restaurant here, but since it was one of my favorite restaurants in Sevilla, I thought it deserved it's own post.

We'll start by the star of the show: Their vegan Spanish Tortilla.
I had tried a non vegan tortilla when I was a kid, and I not only hated it as I got really sick afterwards. So when my boyfriend suggested we tried it at Veganitessen, I was reluctant. He finally convinced me to try it and I'm glad he did because it was probably the best thing I ate on my 6 months in Sevilla. I went back there time and time again for the Tortilla - it's that good.

To drink, I would usually have an orange juice that came in a glass bottle, but one day we decided to try their smoothies: blueberry (on the left) and melon (on the right). I didn't like the melon smoothie that much, but the blueberry one is really, really good. Don't forget to refuse the straw though! Unfortunately I forgot...

On our first time there we tried their "Gourmet Burger", which came with patty, vegan cheese and vegan bacon. It was alright. We also tried their meatballs that came with this creamy sauce that was pretty good too.

Another time we decided to try their hot dogs. I had the one with "Pico de Gallo" and sour cream, while my boyfriend had the three cheeses hot dog.

They were both good, but not as good as the Tortilla. So what we started to do was, instead of asking for one Tortilla for both of us as an starter and then a dish for each of us, we asked for two tortillas, one for each, and maybe one more dish if we weren't full already. Most times, after the tortilla we were ready for dessert.

I can't remember what this was called, but I think it was a regional pastry with pineapple. It was good and much bigger than it looks!

Then there is a lemon cold dessert, which I can't remember what it was called but it was good! My boyfriend is having a chocolate covered Palmier.

Here is their lovely cheesecake.

And this really cute pastry with strawberries and cream, which I had on our first time there!

My boyfriend had the chocolate and banana crumble.

They are also known for their "Napolitanas de Chocolate", which is a chocolate filled croissant (but with a more rectangular shape), which we would take with us to eat in case we were spending the day exploring the city.

This restaurant is one of my top recommendations for vegan eating in Sevilla! Definitely check it out if you're around:

Also, if you're in Sevilla you might find useful my tag "Vegan in Seville" where I've shared (and will continue to do so) my experience as a vegan in this city - so far I've only talked about vegan restaurants but I also intend to write about vegan stores and other veg friendly places.

Even though I've been back home in Lisbon for a while now I still have a lot of things to share about my incredible experience in those 6 months. Plus I went to Costa Rica this summer, so you can expect to read about it soon too.
