Vegan in Sevilla - VeganEat
Today I'm going to talk about the place I've visited the most there in Sevilla. It's a take-away restaurant of 100% vegan food. It has burgers, sandwiches, tapas and desserts, and it's super convenient for those days when I don't have time or energy to cook. Besides, the staff is super friendly!

I already loved it before it opened |
It's funny that it's called "VeganEat" as in Lisbon there is a cafe called "Vegan Eats" which is one of my favorite places as well!
Here they have a fixed menu which, if you understand spanish, you can check out here.
Unfortunately, because it's a takeaway and most times I went there at night with really bad lighting, the pictures are really bad, but I assure you everything tastes delicious! You can get better pictures on their facebook or on their instagram!
I have many options from their menu to recommend!
BURGERS
My favourite burger is the BBQ, made from red beans and quinoa, and it comes with cheese, bacon (all vegan of course!) and bbq sauce.
PERRITOS (Hot dogs in spanish!)
I had the Super Perrito a couple of times, it comes with lettuce, tomato, onions, vegan cheese and vegan mayo. They usually ask for what sauces you'd like, so you can ask for ketchup and mustard as well. I really like it as well, but I definitely prefer the burgers and bocadillos.
BOCADILLOS (which are sandwiches in spanish bread)
For a very long time I always had the Beef Bean, which comes with a really tasty tortilla, vegan cheese and a fried green pepper. I always ask for the Ali Oli sauce with it, which is sort of a spanish garlic mayo and goes really well with this bocadillo - the owner recommended it to me herself.
A few days before returning to Lisbon I decided to try a new one, and had the Vegalomo. I honestly regret not trying it sooner, it might be my favourite thing of the whole menu. It comes with a delicious patty, vegan bacon and vegan cheese. I think the bbq sauce goes really well with it so I recommend trying that combination!
I've only tried the seitan barbecue (churrasco de seitan) and it's good, although maybe a little to big for me!
The burgers, bocadillos and seitan barbecue all come with french fries!

SIDES
I highly recommend getting the Croquetas and the Tortilla de Patatas! If you're lucky, they'll have Tortilla Rellena, which means stuffed with extra deliciousness! I always ask for vegan mayo with my tortilla.
I've also tried the Gambeganas, which is vegan fried prawn (really good too, but I prefer the croquetas!) and the nuggets (good, but I can easily buy a pack of Fry's frozen nuggets so I usually ask for other stuff).
Daily Menu
They also have a few dishes that they make daily, and this part of the menu can change.
They usually have Salmorejo, which is a spanish cold soup similar to Gazpacho (not really my thing, but my mom loves it!), and Ensaladilla (potato salad).
I've had their "meat" balls and their potato and seitan stew, and I really liked both, especially the stew, so if you're lucky to go there when they have it, try it!
DESSERTS
The desserts are also usually different each day. They usually have a few cakes to choose from. I really like the carrot cake, but my boyfriend's favorite is the chocolate one! So on his birthday, I ordered a whole cake for him.
I've also tried their cookies, their cupcakes and their truffles, but I prefer their cakes.
Honestly, besides the tasty food, one of my favorite things is the friendly staff. The owner is called Carolina like me, and she is super nice and patient with us, even with our struggles with Spanish. Besides, there's a spirit of cooperation between vegan businesses that is really wonderful to see and support. There's a table inside their space with a few business cards and leaflets from other stores and services which I think is a really cool thing.
The only downside is the amount of trash they produce, which I guess it's the norm for a takeaway restaurant. I confess I didn't take my own containers as often as I would like - it's really convenient to not have to do the dishes when you're busy and stressed from school work. I'm hoping they'll look into compostable packaging soon! I wish I had mentioned it to them while I was there.
