Vegan in Seville - El Enano Verde
Hi there! So, I've been quite busy, and to be honest, I didn't really know what to post about this week. I haven't been posting much content here apart from the food that I've been eating. Even though I love food, that is definitely not the focus I want to give to this blog. But now, I'm working on so much stuff at the same time that I haven't been able to commit to a post that I thought would be of interest for this blog. So it's food again - delicious food, so I can't really complain - but I'm hoping I'll be able to bring other kind of content soon.
This week I went to El Enano Verde, an all vegan restaurant in Feria (close to Alameda de Hercules) in Seville, Spain. This place is really cute - I wish I had taken pictures of it's space. It's also pretty affordable too: 8 euros for a two course meal, and deserts for 3 more euros. Compared to a lot of places I've been to in Seville, that's a pretty good price. Their menu is different every day.
So, as my first course I asked for the carrot and ginger hummus. It was quite tasty, I was expecting it to come with nachos but it came with these tortilla pieces instead, which were a little hard to dip in the hummus, but still delicious.

My boyfriend asked for the salad, which was, again, SOOOO GOOD!!! Have I mentioned that Sevillanos make great salads?
As a main course, my boyfriend asked for a wrap with mushrooms and cooked apple, and I had the burger. To be honest, both of these were fine, but not amazing. I wish the burger came with bread and fries - it came with nachos instead. Don't get me wrong, I love nachos, I just found this dish too light for a main dish.
And finally, the best part of the meal: Dessert. There were two options and we asked for one of each. My boyfriend got the strawberry mousse, which was very good and came in a cute glass jar.
And I had the cheesecake and I definitely recommend - although I'm biased, since I absolutely love cheesecake, and it's so hard to find a vegan one!
Overall I really liked it, even though it wasn't my favorite place in Seville. I will probably eat there again! Even though the main courses didn't really impress me, the entrees and the desserts were really good. Besides, with a different menu everyday, I'm confident I'll find something more of my taste.
