My goals for 2018
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Now, we're about to enter a new year, and like most people, I feel hopeful. I can't help but wonder what I will learn this year, how much I will change.
2017 was one of the hardest years of my life, but something good happened: I finally challenged myself to go out of my comfort zone. I started this blog, a youtube channel and an instagram account. I showed my face to the internet, talked to a camera (and uploaded the video!) and started conversations. I still have a long way to go, but I'm really proud of myself. I might not have gained a lot of followers, readers or subscribers, but I still feel like I accomplished so much on a personal level.
I hope 2018 is an even better year. I hope to grow and to become an even better person. I'm excited to begin a new year in my ethical living journey. Here are a few of my goals this year:
For me, my big step towards ethical living this year was discovering the zero waste movement, although I still haven't made a lot of changes in my life. I'm hoping that in the next year I'll be able to make more changes in my lifestyle so I can reduce my waste.
Another goal is to be more active in my activism: I want to be a part of the movements I believe in, speak up and know other like minded people.
And of course, most of all, I want to keep learning about the world and what I can do to help.

Self Love
As I mentioned in a previous post, this year I struggled a little bit with self love. I hope 2018 will be a year of growth for me, and I hope to gain confidence, respect and love for myself. I want to stop seeking validation from others and trust myself more. And finally, I want to stop being so harsh on myself and relax , slow down, appreciate life.
Social Media
I'm so happy for what I achieved in 2017. I'm still super scared when I'm about to post something online, but I do it anyway, and that makes me so proud of myself. Although I didn't really get noticed by others, I learned so much this year and I can't wait to learn more.
I do hope I get more attention next year. I would love to feel like I'm being heard and that what I say has an impact on others. For that reason, my goal is to be more confident when sharing my work, and not be afraid of promoting myself.
Something else that I would love to achieve in 2018 is a consistent posting schedule. I doubt I'll be able to upload regularly to my youtube channel (unless I learn to be more time efficient while filming and editing, which is also a goal of mine), but I would love to make weekly blog posts and daily instagram posts (or at least once every two days). For that I'll have to be more organized and think things ahead of time, but it will be worth it.

Although it's not on the topic of new year, it does have to do with my social media so I'll share it here: I posted a new video on my youtube channel. If you'd like some amateur food porn, check it out and give me your feedback!
Personal
Of course, some of my goals for 2018 are merely personal, although ethical living is so important for me that sometimes it's hard to distinguish myself from my ethics. And I don't mind that, to a certain extent - what I believe in makes me who I am. But there's more to me than my ethics, even if at times even I forget. I want to read more books, watch more movies, learn a lot, exercise more, become better at poledancing, cook more often, become more confident in my driving skills and be more comfortable around other people. And I want to try new things, have a lot of amazing experiences and end the year with the funniest stories to tell.
