Vegan in Côte d'Azur (French Riviera) ~ Day 2

Monaco

This was a fun day. I woke up, had my cereals and almond milk and got ready to go to the Juan-Les-Pins train station. Our train was at 10h30 and each ticked was 11 euros. In less than an hour we were in Monaco.

We wandered around, saw the Monte Carlo Casino, the famous race circuit, cars that I'd never seen before and made our way to the Japanese Gardens.

We headed to the Hercule Port to watch the Yachts and to have lunch in a restaurant near the port, Stars n Bars, that is a restaurant that serves meat but has a vegan menu (you can even check their menu on their web page). I found it through Happy Cow.

The restaurant was pretty cool, the menus were on tablets and the staff was pretty friendly and fluent in English. Me and my boyfriend ordered a vegan pizza (with vegetables and vegan Parmesan cheese) and a vegan burger and shared both.
Only my plate is vegan, the pizzas in the background were ordered by my non-vegan companions
Both were delicious! The pizza had a lot of flavor and the burger had sort of a crunchy texture that I loved, and how cute is the fries' container?
The other thing that I loved about this restaurant is that it had vegan desserts. It's rare to find a non-vegan restaurant with a dessert for us! Me and my boyfriend shared a perfect chocolate mousse.

You can imagine I was pretty satisfied when leaving this restaurant. We then went to wander around some more before going back to the train and returning to our apartment in Antibes.

For dinner, in our apartment in Antibes, I had a delicious dish that my mom prepared of pasta, kidney beans and cherry tomato paste (which we got accidentally instead of regular tomato paste, but it turned out even better!)
I also had a bite of my favorite chocolate of all times, the Vego hazelnut chocolate bar. I couldn't resist when I saw it on the bio market, and had to get it. It is vegan, fair trade certified and reminds me of the Ferrero Rocher I used to love so much before going vegan.

And that was it for the day, a very tasty day for me!
